(Received August 29, at 0.40 a.m.) Debating the General Indemnity Bill in a scathing tirade,' [no name given] declared that the Dutch loyalists deserved all they suffered for deserting their countrymen. He taunted Dl' Jameson with being a better judge of rebellion than most. Dr Jataeson.Emitted the raid Was an abominable blunder. The participators had done penance, aiid fair-minded men • might forget. Mr Jiita declared that the colonial commission on martial law intended to discover the informers against the rebels. Dr Smartt uccuscd Mr TeWater, a member, with securing one out of three secret Ministerial cone books, and sending it to Mr Steyn at the outbreak, of the war. It was recovered later at Bloemfontein. Mr Graham admitted that the Government possessed, documents making charges against Mr Tewater, but declined to'lay them oh the table. (l'he name of the first speaker was not sent.) •
