The confcrcnec of tho Tailoresses' Union Federation is still sitting here in private. They had under consideration to-day a communication from the Clothing Manufacturers' Association, in which tiic federation was asked to join with the association in such action as will result in bringing the Auckland conditions as lo wages, etc., into line with the other factories throughout the colonv.

r A deputation from the Tailors' and Tailore'so.V Conference waited on the Hon. Mr Hall-.loncs, and placed before him tho resolutions with regard to tlio establishment of a State clothing factory, and to ninko binding nn Auckland nn award subscribed to in tho other centres by unions and masters. A deputation representing small tailors desired the Minister to stop tho praetico of travellers who take chart measurements in country districts, anifr liavo suits made up in factories. The Minister promised to give the matters consideration.
