By the courtesy and assistance of Captain Nicolson we are enabled to publish, the following Toll of officers, non-commissioned officers, and men. who did not return with the Ninth Contingent, the reason for not doing bo, and some particulars at the foot regarding the condition of health of invalids, and what they and others ore doing:— Major Jackson H. Major Jackson is on tlio road home. Lieutenant Hazlott has gone to Rhodesia, on a. visit. Lieutenant M'Laren is managing portion of a mine. Lieutenant Whitely Jias gone to look after taking up land in the Ermelo district. Quartermaster-sergt. ilackay lias taken a situation in the mines. Sergeant Sinclair has joined some big firm. Farrier-sergeant Mills was slightly better .when the Ninth Contingent left, and Sergt. Adamson was getting better. Sergeant. Rankin had gone to the Ermelo district to see about taking up land. Trooper Welsh, ■who was a, court-martial prisoner in the boat, deserted at Durban on the 15th April. Troopers Cuttle, Mason, Goodwin, Sutton, Keady, M'Laughlin, Conlan, Adams, Irwin, Bums, Quain, and Borry, who wore in hospital,' were all progressing towards recovery when the Ninth Contingent left. JTrooper "Watson was going to a situation at tlio mines, and Trooper Churchill had secured a position in the Railway Department.
