(Per United Pbkss Association.) NELSON, August 6. The City Council last night, by 7 to 5, decided .to obtain a second report 011 drainago (outline plans) frorii Mr Leslie Reynolds, of Dunedin. Tho council liave oh. tamed a scheme from Mr Mestayer, of Wellington, for ercctiug a septic tank on the mud flat at a cost of £49,000. There is a strong feeling m the city in favour of a second schcme to enable a choice to be made. Preference is also expressed fot- a fchemo emptying beyond tho harbour into tlw sea, instead of 011 tho mud flat. The harbour improvement works, so far as the operations of cutting the boulder hanks, arc concerned, will bo definitely begun in November. 'Die drodge now being built in Dunedin will be put togother here, and the actual cutting of the banks made in March.
