Westminster Abbey. Mr T, J. Condon (N.), member of the House of Commons for Tipperary East, who is Mayor of Clonmel, has replied that he neither wished for nor intended to accept the invitation.

Daily Coronation rehearsals are being held in the Abbey. There are, a few decorations in the West Endj but it is difficult to arouse widespread interest. The King returns to London on Wednesday evening.

Preparations have also been commenced at the National Insurance oHioe and at the Daily Times Office. The Union Steam Ship Company has not made any move so far to repeat the splendid illuminations which they had prepared prior to the postponement of the Coronation and jn all probability, if the firm decide upon doing anything of the kind, it will be on a snallei; scale than formerly. A Wellington telegram states that the Governor and Lady Ranfurly gave a ball at Government House last night in honour of the Coronation. A large number of eitizens had been, invited.

The Coronation celebrations at Lawrence on Saturday will commence at 10.15 am 1 with a parade of the Tuapeka Mounted Kifles. iollowing this there will be . a parade of the returned troopers and veterans and a church service. In the afternoon, after a volley has been* fired by the Volunteers, the procession, planting of the Covo-' nation oak, and presentation of medals to the school children, will be the principal events. A fireworks display, a bonfire, and General illuminations will take place in the evening.
