PUBLIC WORKS. TO THE EDITOR.
Sir,—There is not another city in tie southern hemisphere that ha 3 more workson paper tlian t!io City of Dunedin. Commencing with tho duplication of the line to Jlosgie , then the Caversham railway bridge, then tho Dunedin station, city tram lino water works, etc.; then, again, wo have the Drainage Board. Well, it started by draining the ratepayers first. When* it finished that part of the work it may find a leakage in some o£ the pipes, and make a fresh start with the ratepayers again. \s for the Government works, no doubt there will be a start of some sort about election
