EDUCATION BOARD ELECTION.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—A correspondent from St. Bitbans has accused Mr Burnett of taking no interest in school affairs {rlien a resident of that district. I think it is only fair to Mr Burnett that I should state thai I first met him in Blankstons Hill about 21 years ago at a school concert, of which he was cliairman, and tlmt on that occasion lie delivered a very happy littlo speech concerning the advantages to be derived from such social gatherings of neighbours, and the necessity for taking an interest in the welfaro of our country schools. Pair play is bounic play, and I think it is only right that this fact— which disproves the assertion mado by the
