PORTOBELLO ROAD BOARD.
Tlie ordinary monthly maeting of the Portobcilo Road Board, hold on Saturday, was attended by Messrs Dickson (chairmau), Geary, llinkly, Milne, Macandrew, Bacon, North, and Soaton, The Inspector leported that all the roads blocked by the recent slips were now open for traffic, but the greater part of (he debris has still to be removed, 11s only a passage for carls had been made. The work had been of a very difficult nature owing to the presence of stumps and trees in the debris, He rccommonded that RO yards oi metal be spread between the Waverley jetty and Turnbiill's old place.—lt was agreed io have thd metal spread.
