PORT CHALMERS BOROUGH ENDOWMENTS.

TO THE EDITOR. Sin,—l observe in your issue of the 28th inpt. a letter written over the name of "Indignant Ratepayer." It is about time someone criticised the council's actions. This is only one of the many ways in which the ratepayers' interests are sacrificed; but Cue ratepayers arc themselves to blamo for electing such weak-kneed wobblers. It is a little comfort to know wo have some councillors who have the principle and * backbone to do what is fair to tho poopld they represent, I hope that at tho next elections there will bo many liko "Indignant Ratepayer," and make an effort to change the present state of affairs by electing men who will workfoi tho interests o£ tho people.—l am, etc., Dux-browx. ■
