ALHAMBRA THEATRE.

There will be an entire change, of programme at this cosey littlo theatre to-night, including a number of novelties. Mr Sam Rowley, an English cpniedian of repute, will make his first appearance in New Zealand. Ho comes with high credentials as a singer of new songs and with up-to-date patter. Gallando, who finishes on Monday, will introduce a number of new heads to-night, many. of. them being of local interest. Mr Tonsden will be scon in a now ventriloquial act, the inimitable " Mrs O'Bovko " will trii some new stories. Miss Lay ton sings new. illustrated songs, and Miss Benllev .will be litnrd in a.number ol ballads of that class for which she' is famed. Miss Lovel introduces new serio-comics; and Mr Collier, who also finished-Oil Monday, will play some favourite selections on the banjo. Tho vitagraph will show several new moving pictures just arrived by the San Francisco mail. On Monday night Mr John Geiger, a violinist- with an American reputation, will make his first appearance hero. The northern critics went iiito raptures over this artist, his command of " The King of Instruments " being acknowledged as marvellous. He .gives,' some wonderful imitations of birds, church: 6rgan, aceordeon, bagpipes, a German band, steam'/whistle, and plays the instrument in all manner of positions. For the benefit of mu3ioiaii9 ho winds up .by playing soma rich melodious andante. Lovers of high-class instrumental -music will look forward to Mr Geiger's advent hero, as a rich treat is in store for tb.cm.
