Livo Stock Auction Bill is unnecessary and uncalled-for, and that the. proposed State Fire Insurance Bill was also unnecessary, it being undesirable that the Government should enter into competition with existing trading. concerns. Tho resolui ■lions of the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce with regard to this bill were endorsed, and it" was resolved to writo to the members for the district requesting them to oppose both measures,
