In Paris 200 arrests were made, including Francois Coppee,. tho French poet.

The Associations Bill became law on Juno 23 last year. Up to October 3, the last' day fixed, out of 16,463 religione establishments in France, 2001 male and 6799 female communities had applied for registration. There was a considerable exodus of various orders.
