A FATAL ACCIDENT,
LONDON, July 11. (Received July 12, at 11,13 a.m. , ) Prior to the Queen's procession in connection with tho opening of the bazaar in aid of the sick children, the wind, straining a decoration rope, dislodged the coping at All Souls' Church, Langhnm place, which in falling killed a Canadian lady and injured several others. •

ADELAIDE, July 12. (Received July 12, at 10.28 a.m.) . The Government is opening wheat areas in the Ninety-mile Desert. Eighty thousand acres iiavo been taken up. Wheat grows well on the so-called desert with tlie. aid of fertilisers.
LOSS OF THE KARAWERA

The Marine Board has found that the loss of the Karawera was caused through the indiscretion of the master, Captain jVlimro, in navigating the vivev after a long absence, aiid recommends the cancellation of his pilot exemption certificate. THE JUBILEE DOCK. SYDNEY, July 1.1, Most of the water was pumped o»t of tho Jubilee dock, when a barque suddenly canted. The dock is considerably damaged.
