Tho Public Health Department- to-day prosecuted a suburban doctor and a resilient for failure to report a caso of infectious disease—viz., scarlet fever. The action was taken to impress on medical men and householders that all diseases of infectious character must, be , reported. Applications for debentures for £6000, allotted for the purpose, are to lie invited in Wellington, Napier, Wanganui, and Palmerston North.
