MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.
A juvenile brknih antler the control of the Hope of Dunedin Tent. 1.0. R., was instituted on Monday evening in the Mission Hall,. Walker street. C.K. Sister King, the officers, and'incmbers of Primrosfe (juvenile) Tent officiated. There was a good attendance of both adults and juniors. Eighteen candidates were initiated, and it was decided to call the new lodge the Thistle. The appointment of Sister ChrisUbrl and Bro. Ker as superintendents was confirmed. Bros. W. Johnson, W. H. Utlloy, and'R. Farrant- gave short addresses explanatory of, the working of the now branch. It vnis. decidcd the tent, should inoet every alternate Monday evening. •. At the quarterly meeting of Court Little John, A.0.P., held on Tuesday evening, the following officers wore elected:—C.K., Bio. Ji D. Uuigii; ' S.C.R.; Bro. R. Hemingway;, .treasurer, Bro. J. H. Reynolds (re-elected); oecretcry, Bro. K. C. Wilson (re-elected); S.W., Bro. D. Heatley; J.W., Bro. James Webster: 5.8., Bro. W. ll.'Haigh; J. 8., Bro. J. Grant. The officers were installed by P.C.R.'s Bro3. G. Armit and William Paterson. One candidate was initiated. Roeoipts, £23 Is lid.
