BY-LAW -No. 2. ■ • PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to the Provisions of " The Municipal' Corporations Act, 1900," that, on THURSDAY the 21th day of July. One Thousand Nine Hundred and Two, the Council of the. Borou"h of Green Island will, at its meeting to be held at ■ 7.30 p.m. on that day, CONFIRM a RESOLUTION of the Council intended to operate as a SPECIAL ORDER adopted at a Special Meeting of the -CounciPon tho 23rd day of June, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Two, in the foltowing teims—viz.':— . , "That;it bo resolved, by way oj Special Resolution, to operate ..as a Special Older, that the Draft now before the Council of a By-law in respect of HA »VKERS and PEDLARS be adopted and made as a By-law to be hereafter known as 'By-law No, 2'; and that it be-further resolved.and declared that -the said By-lav/ shall come into force on tho 4th day of AUGUST, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Two." ■ The object .and purport of the said By-law. To prevent the Hawking, Selling, Offering, or Exposing for Sale in the said Borough of any Goods, Wares, Merchandise, or Articles by any person without a License signed by the Borough Clerk, 8. Declaring ftnV person to be Guilty of an Offence upon such day, that he shall Hawk, Sell, Offer, or Expose for Sale ; any Goods, Wares, Merchandise,' or Articles without such Licenso; or who having such License, shall Hawk, Sell,' 1 Offer, or Expose-for Sale any doscrip- : tion of Goods, Wares, Merchandise, or Articles other than, or in any manner other than, specified or authorised in such License.
