Two local bills from Chrijtcliurch will lie introduced early. One proposes to empower tho Cliriitchurch City Council to borrow £300,000 for tho installation of an olcctric tram service. The proposal i* that the tramways shall bo managed by a tramways board, which will contain representatives from Christchurch and' all the suburbs affected by and interested in thfc scheme. The second bill proposes give the City Council power to borrow about £300,000 for the purpose of bringing electric energy from the Waimakariyi River, and this is likely to cause a considerable amount of discussion and opposition.

North Island country members are complaining bitterly of tlio roads in the back blocks, the Government will Imvc to stand a good deal of criticism on this subject. Mr Ell proposes to address meetings here and elsewWo in the North Island regarding a Stato bank. Tho Boundary Commissioners are this evening correcting tho proofs of the Gazette description of tho' alterations, and tho Gazette will not bo. issued till to-morrow ijiorning.
