INQUEST AT PORT CHALMERS.
, Mr E. H. Carew, coroner, held an inquest , at Port Chalmers on Saturday touching the death of James Driseo'l. A jury of pi\-°we;o impanelled, and Mr W. Wilmott was chose* foreman. After the jury had viewed the body at the racrpe, : James Allen identified the body as that of James Dnscoll, a fireman, who was about 40 years of age. Deceased's last ship was the s.s. i l i Pf" 8 . 5 ' 1 formerly lived with witness, ana had told him he was married, and had a wife living in Melbourne. At about a quarter to 1 o clock on Friday afternoon witness was 1 AlTi nT' b y'»« grandson, John Allen. Hie boy told him Driscoll was getting I in at the window.
