It is understood, that Mr Rudyard Kipling declined Coronation honours.

Lieutenant Hetlley Kirkpntrick, of 2-ltli Dragoon Guards, is made a Companion of the Bath; and Commander G. It. A. Gaunt, of tho Royal Navy, son of Judge Gaunt, of Melbourne, a Companion of the Order of St. Michael and St. George.
