Tho author claims to have discovered that tho so-called Nassanolf's organ—the mombrano between the fifth and sixth dorsal segments of the workers—is really «• scent-producing organ, and that this scent forms a moans of communication between bees. He further suggest) that bees have eognisnnco only of the well-known "hum," and do not recognise ordinary sounds.
