The profits of the Queensland National Bank for the past half-year were over £•>3,000, and £17,000 was transferred to the contingency account. THE FRENCH COLONIAL POLICY. SYDNEY, February 11. News lias been received that the Governor of Otabeite, at the request, of the Queen's sons and the headmen, annexed the island of Rimatara and its dependencies, over which France for some time has exercised a protectorate.
