The lectures will be illuetratetl with liinelitjht views. i)r Guinness is one of tho three directors of tho Uegionf-beyond-mif-sionary Union, which -has an annual expenditure of about £25,000, and the object of •ivhii'li is to prepare niissiouuries to conduct illusions in Central Africa and South America. Recently the learned doctor has been vigorously carrying on his mission in the principal cities of Australia, beiiiir received in all parts with the utmost enthuesasm and, as a consequence, his work has been extremely successful and very rich in blessing. In Melbourne 1000 people were turned away from one meeting in the theatre. In Sydney his address to mon—the social purity mooting—was held in the Town Hall, and attended by WOO men. In his younger days the doctor was an athlete of no mean ability, with a preference for the bicycle. He is now .about 40 years of aze. and with
