. IMPURE BLOOD AND LIVER TROUBLE ■ Another Case in Dunedin. | The Case of Mr. T. KING. i {l'ij u DiuitU'm JUpoilo'.) At a well-appointed shop in Main- ' road, .South Dimerfin, n special repreI fcntetive interviewed Mr. Thomas King, who carrict mi a boot-making business ' at the place mentioned. ilr. ICing ' mudo the following remarks:— ; " yenio years ago my blood was in a uightlully bad s.atc. About- forty or fifty boils cume out on my nuns and hands, and yon can still see the marks ' jF sumo that broke out on my wrists. ■Jf course I did not have them all at •.nee, but they came one after another . with such persist ency thai I commenced U) think 1 w;is never going to get rid . if them,. The burning, aching agony o[ those boils luade me very bad-tempered. Some days 1 could not work for the . pain I was in. and even when I was . taking a spell I always felt discontented , and irritable. At the same time I stif- ; -'ercd greatly with my liver, a general , depression of spirits coming over me, , and I looked on the black side of everything. The food I ate neither sustained i nor nourished me. It merciy lay in my . ilwnaeh in an undigested state, and the wind that came from the process of fer- , mentation which was going on inside caused me a lot of cramping pains and obstinate fits of belching.' A dirty yel- . :ow colour appeared in my skin, together with a drowsy look in my eyes, which were very weak, with flittiii2 specks befuro them. Another accompaniment of my disordered condition > was a strangiiiig sensation iti my throat, : a trouble which immediately followed • the conclusion of luv meals. I can ac-' count for this by having a weighty feeling in my chest, as if I had swallowed a piece ol bread which had turned to stone. .Another hurtful symptom was . a miserable aching pain across my brow; and, besides, I had sharp, stabbing tor•ures situated midway between lily shoulders, with similarly aggravating , pains in my side. The unpalatable taste in my mouth was enough to make me . sick, indeed, I often thought I would I retell my heart up. Mv tongue, too, WAS none 100 clean. I believe that i long-continued inaction of my bowels . had a great deal to do with both my t blood and my liver being out of order." ■ " Could you not rectify such a small I matter as that ?" <. "1 could get nothing to restore re- > gularity in that respect. Several kinds i of pills and medicines were tried, but I they only had very violent- and painful i effects for a time, and left mo in a t worse fix than ever. I was greatly enervated and distressed by the loss of sleep. ■ After being awake nearly all night- I ; felt too fatigued and weak to raise my 1 hammer, ani when I did work I can ! I assure you it was greatly against my j • will, as I had neither energy nor in- j ' dilution for it. My nervous system was ' I so upset that I could scarcely drive a ; nail straight, and I trembled all over very often without any reason. My 1 prospects of getting well looked very blue, for my appetite died out; altoi {tether, and the flesh rapidly fell away. r Tam sure I was a pitiable object to my « customers as they c-ainc in and' out-of , my shop, and as the boils continued to appear the most of my friends thought j; they were incurable. As ail the modicities I had drank had no beneficial effect I lost heart and let things go I anyhow. I thought it better to submit '■ to the inevitable than worrv myself to 1 death,," • f " Did you discontinue the use of medi- ; cine, Mr. King?" ! "Yes, when I found they were use- ' less. I had thrown too much money away already. Then I was persuaded to ' try something else. A friend' said: 'Clements Tonic is the best medicine going. You ought to try it.' Sure 1 enough I bought a couple of bottles, • and I commenced to feel livelier, ' The nervous Switchings and indiges- ■ t-ion trouble ceased, and I was able j to eat and sleep well. My blood | was purified by Clements Tonic, tho ; boils disappeared, and my internal organs acted regularly, Strength gradu- i ! ally returned, and after a course of Clements Tonic I was perfectly sound." j 1 '■ I hope I may report- your remarks?" ] " You may publish them in any way ' you like." STATUTORY DECLARATION. _ 1, Thomas Kino, of Miin-road, South Dimedin in the Colony n; New Zealand, do solemnly sincerely declare that I have carefullj read the annexed document, ennsistinc of ttvc r "'ios and consecutively numbered from one tr two, and that it contains and is a true and faith, nil account of my Illness and cure bv Clements Tonic, :md also contains my full permission to publish ir i anv way nn statements-winch I jive voluntarily, without receiving any payment; and I make thi< solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions ol a'\ Act nl tlie Cisnera!
