(Received May 14, at 9.36 a.m.) The State's drink bill for last year wus £4,744,000, an increase of £340,000 over that of tlie previous year.
TWO JOCKEYS KILLED. (Received May 15, at 1.9 a.m.) A ponv fell at the Roseberv Park luces, bringing down two others. The jockey, ,T. Allen, was killed, and 11 sccmid jockey, W. They state that the trouble with the Filipinos is over except in in a small area in the north. Each man has ,a considerable sum of money in the shape of pay. Four propose to'"settle in Australia and two in Xew Zealand. EXPORT OF SPECIE. PERTH, Mav 11. (Received May 14, at 9.35 a.ni.) The s.s. Rome shipped £296,000 in specie, including £50,000 for India.
