A FINE OPAL.

' (Received March 30, at 9.18 a.m.) Mr Maurice Lyons, who is returning to Queensland, has handed the Imperial opal to the King's jewellers. Some weeks ngo Lyons offered to present the opal, which is"'valued at £50,000, to the King for his regalia in the natne of the Commonwealth of Australia. Ho has commissioned Sir Bobcrt W. [J. Herbert, lo formally make the presentation, if it be accepted.
