SHETLAND RELIEF FUND.

Mr J. J. Ramsay, secretary of the Shetland relief fund, reports that at tho Inst meeting of tho committee three men of well-known integrity, living on tho scene of the disaster, were appointed to represent the subscribers. Tho money collected is to be sent Home to thoso gentlemen, and they are to bo empowered either to hand it over to thoso tor whom it ha 3 been collected oi put it into the fund that is being raised. These men were recommended by several Dunedin residents who hail from that part of Shetland, and one of them is the parish minister. Mr Ramsay also reports to us that bo ha 3 received from an inland district in Otago ovc" £10, collected by a settler there, who was himself left an orphan many years ago through a similar disaster.
