.(Pee United Press Association.) WANGANUI, March 15. The solo competitions were concluded toliay with B flat horns, in which ten bandsmen took part. Wanganui secured the three prizes—E. Gould, R. Blyth, and G. Jensen being placed in that or do.. The quartet conteet resulted thus:—Wanganui (123 points) 1, Woodville (105 points) 2, Woodville No. 2 (9i points) 3. The , marching competition was witnessed by e large crowd. The results were;—Wanganui 'Garrison—Music, 76; marching, 288; — total, 351. Woodville—Music, 66; marching, 269;— total, 355. New Plymouth—Music, 66; marching, 265;— total, 33L Palmerston North—Music, 60; marching, 259;— total, 325. •Masterton —Music, 74; marching, 248; — total,. 322. . Petone-Musie, 75; marching, 24*;-total, 319; The contest concluded to-night. The following is the result:— Championship: Wan : ' ganui, 357; Maslerton (disqualified), 355; Petone, 317; New Plymouth, 306; Palmerston, 305; Woodville. 288.
