BOWLING TOURNAMENT.

(Faoir Our Own Correspondent.) '' CHPISTCHUROH, January 15. The bowling tournament yi&a continued today in beautiful weather, and some very good contests resulted. The unexpected happened when Allnutt and Jeffery, of the Lawrence Club, defeated Sneddon and Crawford, of Kaituna, by one point. In tlife Doubles, D. Scott's rink, of Roslyn, made a good' fight • against Wood, of Ghristchurch, in tho fourth round, being defeated by only one point. There are four rinks left standing yet—viz., Wood (Ghristchurch), Sneddon (Kaituna), Prince (of Newtown, Wellington), and Brackenridge (of Victoria, Palmerstonj. They are all playing well, and it is almost impossible . to pick the winner. At to-night's meeting it ivas intimated that the Kaiapoi Woollen Company had sent an invitation to tho association, offering to sup-. ply drags to convey bovylors to and from visiting their factory at Kaiapoi. It was agreed to accept the invitation fqr Friday afternoon. . An invitation has also been rpoeived to visit tho Exhibition, and was accepted for Thursday night.
