VOLUNTEERS.
On Tuesday evening, the Dunedin Naval Artillery held their last inspection parade of the year, when there was an excellent muster. The parade state was:— Lieut.-commanding Allen, Lieutenants Strong, Swindle;,-, and Freclric, 2 chief I'.O.'s, 4 first-class P-O.'r, 4 second-class P 0 's, 3 leading gunners, 3 buglers, and li "unners-— total. "93. The inspecting oracer '1 ie'it -colon"! Webb) coniDlimcnted the corps o:i the appearance of the men. and the splendid muster. After the corps had been exerc.ml by the oilicsrs nnd non-coms, in the various company movements, etc., Colonel Webb presented Chief P.O. Woollett with the .Imperial and New Zealand medals for 20 years • efficient service In making the presentation the mSBcrtinK officer wished the recipient long bfe to wear the decorations, and referred to Ins career, not only as a good volunteer, but also as a oood rifle shot, and hoped that the younger members would take example, nnd m tinie earn the decorations. The corps fire their annual volley and independent firing at Pclichot Bay range this aiternoon.
