The Council mot at 2.30 p.m. DEFENCE COMMITTEE.

On the motion of the Hon. "\V. C. WALKER a, secret committee was appointed to consider all matters relating to defence.

EDUCATION BOARDS' ELECTION.

The Hon. W. C. WALKER moved the second reading of tho Education Boards' Election. Bill which was' pawed by the Council Messrs KELLY, B.A.ILLIE, TWOMEY, and M'LEAN generally supported the bill, and the second reading was agreed to. The Council rose at 3 p.m.
