THE BEAUMONT LEAD GOLD DREDGING COMPANY (LIMITED). TO THE EDITOR.

Sir, —Being a. shareholder in above company, I received a circular a- few days ago calling a meeting of shareholders to be held in Dunedin on the 27th inst. far the purpose of considering report of the boring operations and decide as to the future course to be: pursued by the company. It is currently rumoured that the result of boring was anything but satisfactory. This, • coupled with the fact that'so very few of the bank claims, and particularly those without a clear water supply, as I understand is tho case in this instance, have proved a success, should warrant shareholders to carefully considering their position, and if there is the slightest doubt .about the future success, vote t in favour of voluntarily winding up the company at once. I regret I shall be unable to attend.—l am, etc., ■ Shareholder.
