CAVERSHAM.

The annual meeting of householders for tho Caversham district was held in Die Seliool Gymnasium Hall last evening. Mr John Tennant occupied the chair, and about .twentyfour householders were present.

The annual report, which we have alreadypublished, ivas adopted, as also was the report ,of the Gymnasium Committee. .

Belore proceeding with the business of the evening, 4he Chairman drew attention to the fact that the hall was being used by the committee for the first time that evening. It was a fine commodious building; admirably adapted for tbe purpose for which it was intended. j ' ' ■ 'The election o£ the committee for the.ensuing year was of a purely formal character, asonly tbe membora of the outgoing committoe were nominated, and lhey- were declared duly elected. Their names are: R.T. Caldcuv, j". Ci. D. Dempster, Thomas Glendining, Robert W. Rutherford, John Searle, T. K. Sidey, D. Stevenson, John Tennant, Charles Williams. The committee subsequently decided to hold their first mooting on Monday, Alay 7.
