The anunl roport of the retiring committee ■aibmiUed to the meeting of shareholders la?t ovontng elated that the receipts during the year, including a credit, balance of £7 13s 3d. amounted lo £37 13s 3d. Tho expenditure totalled £23 7s. leaving a balanco in the bunk of £3 6s 3d. Tho attendance for the year had been somewhat lew than usual, the' average being 85. Tho result of Mr Fitzgerald's examination lafjl year had beon very satisfactory. At tho junior civil service examination ouo of the boys (G. Chisholm) obtained seventh place on tho list for the whole colony, while Margaret Glanville qualified for two years' free scholarship at ihe High School. The annual picnic to Mosgiel had )iroved very enjoyable. .-: The greatest good feeling had existed during the rear between the committee and the teachers.
