A CORRECTION.

Sin,—Permit mc to correct a mistake appearing iv your "Commercial Review of this date. Your reporter, in referring to Messrs J. and R. Scott's business, states "that -Mr .John Scott, of that firm, is. with one exception, the only plumber in Now Zealand registered as a member of the "Worshipful Company of Plumbers. London, aud that h<» also enjoys the distinction of .heino- the only mem nor m punedin at present. The exception referred to is presumably Mr ,T. Gillespie, of JNapier. . I would, therefore, remind your reporter that. I am registerfy.l in the company reiorreti to, and also possess a diploma granted by tbe said eomuanv. Further in reference to Ihe statement that Messrs ,T. and It. ocotfs business is registered with the i-.o_m.on company, tliis must surely have been written without a knowledge of the subject, as the company do not recognise firms, but register individuals only. Feeli-.g- sure that Messrs Scott. would hardly have approved of tlie reporter's erroneous statements, and in justice to the trade and myself.
