At a meeting of delegates representing local trades unions, held for the purpose of 1 putting matters on a better basis, an agree- | ment was arrived at that politics ought to be eliminated from the Wellington Trades Council, and a, resolution Mas passed in favour of unions affiliating with the council. .Also, that a committee should be formed lor the purpose of dealing with politics only. < 1 A deputation from the Trades Conference ' , waited on Mr -Tregear to-day and presented ■ a number of resolutions passed by the con- ! feren.ee. After discussing them, he pro- . raised to recommend their adoption to the -Minister of Labour.
