APPEAL TO FARM LABOURERS.
TO THK BDITOJt. Sin,—Your list of the men of our fourth contigent eqntains the following:—Patrick Alfred Westcott, 21, farm hand. As every trade and profession has provided its, own particular member with a mount, I propose Hint farm hands do the same. 1 admit they labour under a great disadvantage, lhey are not the wealthiest people in the world, neither are they strong enough in number to raise the needful £25 from any one district. Therefore I suggest.that the country papers open a "Farm hands' subscription 'list" in order to provide Westcott with a horse or if he is already provided for, then some other farm hand who is not. The horse t» be called ■Cowboy." Our honest farm lads' are,too often overlooked, but in this work there is room for all.
