OTAGO PROFESSIONAL ATHLETIC LEAGUE'S SMOKE CONCERT. The Otago Professional Athletic League's ercoko 'concert, held iv the Victoria Hall on Saturday night, was well attended, Mr H. S. Valentine being in/the, chair. After a few remarks by the chairman, Herr Paul Sonderhof contributed a piano solo, which was much appreciated. Mr H. M'Corrc(ack gave a rcoitation, and provoked a good deal of applause. ' A piccolo solo by Mr T.,11. Amos also proved very acceptable. Mr George Stepkcnson sang a comic song, and Mr D. M'Donald danced a sailor's hornpipe to the accompaniment of bagpipe music played by Mr Murray, both items being favourably received. " Son 3of the Empire," " Sons of the sea," and " The old flag " were rendered by Mr W. Wilhelnison, and greatly enjoyed, and Mr George Connell created much amusement by. hia ventriloquial entertainment. Boxing exhibitions were given by Messrs R. Haran and D. Paterson, and J. Paterson and T. Bond; while Messr3 M. Powley and P. Hynes gave an exhibition of wrestling jn the catch-ns-catch can style. Herr Paul Sonderhof acted as accompanist for 'the rocalists, and during the evening the following toasts were proposed and duly honoured: — " The Otago Professional, Athletic League," proposed by Mr J. Laffey, vice-president, and responded to by Mr Neil Macleod; and " Kindred Sports," proposed by Mr W. L. Colvin, and responded to by Mr George Stcphenson The proceedings concluded by all present joining in the singing of " God save the Queen." FtOMLiNE.—Foe thh Teeth and Bpjsath— A. few drops of the liquid " Floriline " sprinkled on a wet. toothbrush produces a pleasant lather, which thoroughly cleanses the teeth from all parasites or impurities, hardens the gums, prevents tartar, stops decay, gives to the teeth a peculiar pearly whiteness,, and a delightful fragrance to the breath. It removes all unpleasant odour arising from decayed teeth or tobacco smoke. "The Fragrant FloriKne," being composed in parts of honey and svrect herbs, is delicious to the tnstn, and" the greatest toilet discovery of the age. Price 2s (id, of all Chemists and Perfumers.
