OPENING OF THE WAIMATE SALE YARDS.
WAIMATE, January 26. The new Waimale- County Saleyards were opened by the Mayor to-day. There was a large attendance. About 10,000,isheep were cold at good prices, wethers at up. to 14s 7d, ewes to 14s, fat lambs Ils 9d. The: opening was a great success, and .augurs well for the future of the yards. . ; .: .
