The Western 'District A. and P. Association held their nineteenth annual sh6w .at Riyertdn on Friday. . ; The .-exhibits in1 number and merit were about on a par with previous years,, but the attendance of the public was:greatly diminished by the wretchedly cold; and; showery weather which prevailed, and: prbbably My the. In the yearling class Allan Jones was'firsthand J.-'B. Sutton second. In brood mares J. Drain -wasfirst and l-fc>troud second. Mr Drain was-alsolq'ecqritj-' and third in yeld mares and first in the.thrGe, year-old class.- Inthe two-year-old<clas<s AllahJones had. an easy win,' and for the same animal was awarded the champion for best draught mare.or filly on the ground. In yearling fillies Mr Drain-was-again first and 1. ■ fcstroud second. In draught .geldings' and. pair 3 honours were pretty evenly'divided between Mr Alexander Lindsay, J. B. Sutton, J Dram, T. Stroud, and John W.ohlers. For; thoroughbred entries Ironworker was- awarded first. There were good exhibits in the light roadster class, the light, harness; and the 12 and 14-hand pony" class. In the first-mentioned K. .Deacon secured the coveted distinction, iniight harness ~W. i Hamiltqn, and in ponies under H hands Mr A. R. .Hare's Gentlomain is almost invincible anywhere.: For hunters J. bwailes s Sweetbriar was awarded first,'and the same for the high jump competition.' Tli e . cattle wore generally good; R. and A.
