The Sydney Daily Telegraph reports that a young woman, said to be very well connected, " made up " as a man, u-ith the idea of "working her passage out to South Africa," but her "make-up." which consisted of a check suit much too large for her, and a straw hat, was detected, and she was detained by the police.
