1 SALE OF PROPERTY.
Messrs Wilson, Maekay, ancl, Co., of Balclutha, report having sold" on behalf of Messrs J. anc! J. Sim, at a. satisfactory figure, their farm situatod in the Waiwera district, containing 185 acrgs. Mr-Miznro, the purchaser, can be congratulated on the acquisition of this fine farm.

Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report that prices ruled as* under'at.their sale on Monday:—* • ,
Oats.—We submit_ed"Vcatalogue of B and C grade* oats, suitable for local requirements. Competition was not animated, but-those lots which found buyers were quitted at prices on a par with'l'ate quotations.*. fWe.h'ave some inquiry for A grade, of which there.are few offering at present. We- quote..! Prime milling, Is 4Jd to ls sJd;.good.to best feed, Is 3id to Is id; medium,* ls 2d to. Is 3d per bushel (sacks extra).
Wheat.—The market is somewhat" brisker, owing to there being a little' demand Jor-Ship-ment. Prices, however, show'no material improvement, except v for. extrar<;hoice lines.- We offered several lots' of fo\yl wheat,' for which there wa;s weak competition. We.quote:'. Prime milling, 2s 3d to 2s 6d; Imediumj 2svt6 2s 2d;, wholo fowl wheat, Is lOd to 2s";''* broken and* damaged, ls Gd to ls 9d per bushel (sacks in). Potatoes.—There are still-considerable stocks on hand, and prices show no advance on-lato quotations. Messrs Moritzson and"H.Qpkiri report having held their usual weekly, sale of grain and .produceon Monday, when there was'a good 'attendance ,of buyers, butHh'e* demand -was- poor for most lines.
