Schilling, who is, walking round he world for a wager of £1000, and who, it will be remembered, was in Dunedin in the early p.art of January, bas just returned from the north, having completed his tour of New /^aland. From Nelson he crossed to Wellington; and thence walked to Palmerston iSorth and through the King country, meeting with great kindness from the .Maoris. He leaves hero for Sydney where he expects to pick up liis dog, which was quarantined nine months ago, and goes thence to Western Australia, walks over the Australia., desert to Melbourne, from that city to Sydney, and on to Brisbane. This completes his tour of Australia, and ho takes boat for Japan
