NEW WALES WATERLOO CUP.
A Sydney telegram states that the Waterloo Cup was won by Kilmanpan; runner-up, Correze. The "Purse was won by Helpmate; runner-up, Harold. The Plate was won by Dandenong Ranger; runner-up, Goldspur.
HARRIER NOTES.
Although the Dunedin Harriers' meet- on Saturday was rather awkward to get to, the muster was a record one. About 35 runners took part, including several visitors, one of whom (Mr P. H. Malthus, New Zealand's ohampion three-miler) was adorned ■ with ' sho paoemaker's badge. Deputy-captain T E Bennett was whipper-in, and the hares were represented by Messrs-Columb and M'Kenzie Starting from Mrs Todd's restaurant op! posite the woollen mills, the trail led back over Brockville, and, after some hill climbins? and bush work, an open run was got to the top of Eraser's Gully. From here tiie trail zigzagged back into the Kaikorai Valley About half a mile from home the pack was lined up across the road for a fast finish but the pace was too warm for the majority' and the champion, Mr Malthus, won rather easilyhis nearest attendants being Messrs R J* Jackson and C. E. Aldridge. "" Next Saturday a road run'will be held from the D.A.8.0. boathouse, with the object of giving the members some training for the raw on the following Saturday.
