Walkei;'« Juvenile Depravity Bill, with''a suggestion that the hon. gentleman 'should be again asked to introduce it by the society; from Miss Parker (secretary of the Auckland branch), introducing Ensign Sparks from Auckland, who is a meiriber of .committee, and copies of reports of the. Auckland society for 1899, from herself .and Mr Wildey (chairman). The secretary was instructed,to. write and thank the.iv for their good wishes artd kind offers of assistance if required. : Miss ■Benjamin's suggestion re Mr Walker's bill was :left over for consideration till: next meeting. Miss Stratham reported that Miss Rigg and .herself had attended the Winter Show and given away 1000 circulars' there, which, it was hoped, would be a good, means of introducing the society to the notice of the country'people, arid that the office in Water street had been taken and a sign duly painted in a' conspicuous position on the outside and inside of the Colonial Bank building.' The report of the secretary of work done" during the month showed that seven cases had been inquired into by herself and Miss Rigg;' that one was then under consideration which would very probably be brought into court, and there was good reason to suppose it would be decided in favour of the society', and : they were much indebted to Sister Ruth foi bringing it under their notice and taking so"much trouble in the matter; also to the police for their kind assistance in this and other cases whicfrhad been seen into. On the motion of the Rev. W. Cur-zon-Siggers the secretary's report was adopted. Subscriptions were received to the amount of £4 10s. ■■':■■
