AUCKLAND DEMANDS.

AUCKLAND, June 16. The Auckland members of both Houses of the Legislature had ii conference with .the Chamber of Commerce to-day. There _ was an unusually large attendance of commercial men. Members were ur^ed to be unanimous in urging railw ay connection between Auckland and Wellington, i" pushing-on the Main Trunk railway to the point .of. divergence, in urging the construetipn _of the Helensville-NorfchTvard 'lif K .opening up the King Country for-settle! ment, and federation with Australia. They ■were also urged to advocate raising a loan to be specially used for the completion of authorised railways.
