ADDING TON STOCK MARKET. (Per United Press Association.)

CHRISTC.HURCH, April 19.

Medium entries were the rule at Addingtor co-day. There was a very large attendance, 1 brisk sale resulting in a' rise in most classe: of sheep, while everything else except pig.' brought well up to late rates. The entries foi tho day comprised 4703 fat sheep and lambs G7OO store sheep, 4GI) cattle, and 706 pigs.

Fat Cattle.—226 yarded, mostly light 1 heavy weights. All classes were in domain Heavy steers brought £7 to £$ 17s Od; light, sorts, £5 5s to £G 10s; heifers, £3 12a Gd I £5 17a Gd; and cows, I"! to £5 10s.

Fat'Sheep.—The yarding was a small one the bulk being trade ewes. Freezing slice] mot keen competition, the better sorts sellin; at from Ms to 15a 3d for wethers, and 13s 3i for mixed sexes, while a line of North Islam wethers brought 15s to 10s 3d. Butchers' ewe sold irregularly, the best bringing from 12s t 15r 3d, and medium sorts down to 10s.

Fat Limibs.-The small yarding was mostly of good quality, and met with good competition. Freezers, llsfxl to 13s 4d, and others down to 0s 4d.

Stove Sheep.—The stores were mostly wethers and lambs, with small lots of breeding ewes. Feed being so plentiful, buyers wore very anxious to get anything for turnips, and a rise can be quoted all round, prices ranging from 12r. Dd to 14s 7d; mixed sexes, 13s 3d; good young ewes, 10s to lls 7d; older sorts, 9s Gd to 10?, Gd ; forward lambs, 10s to 10s 9d; medium sorts, 9a to 9s Cd; small and backward sorts, 6s Id to Ss Cd.

Pigs.—The heavy entry brought down prices slightly, baconers averaging 3Jd to 'Id-per ]b ,and porkers Id to 5(1 per head. Baconers brought 42s to G2s; porkers, 3Ja to <9s; stores, 19s to 495; a line of 200 from North Island, S2s to 40s; weaners, 15s 9d to 10s Gd.
