The warships would protect British lives nnd property if threatened by the .rival factions. (Per United Pbess Association.) AUCKLAND, April 18. The Government steamer Tutanekai left for Samoa at 2.16 p.m. with despatches for Admiral Kantz. She is expected to be back here iv 20 days. Captain Post is to place the vessel at tlio disposal of the British consul on arrival at Apia. The despatches forwarded are from the Home Government.
