Thero is a storm in the military teacup through Colonel Neild, a .volunteer officer and M.L.A., criticising military matters in the press. Mr Neild has been placed under arrest. Ho asserts the right that as a member of Parliament he is privileged to make such criticisms just as if he were ■within tho walls of Parliament. The commandant considers tho breach of discipline so serious that he has sent the papers to tho Governor as Commander-in-chief to deal with.
