Chairman opened the concert by giving the following review of the club:—The past season of the club is most gratifying: for tho members to look back upon, as the all-round play of.the club has been.exceedingly good. The First Eleven have played 9 matches, of:* whicli they won 5 and lost 4.. We were beaten -, twice by our old rivals the Carisbrook, though in each' instance the Dunedin had victory within their grasp, but allowed the chance to slip away. The Carisbrook won the first match by 20-runs,and the second match by" '28 runs. The • Carisbrook B we beat both times, the first time by 63 runs and the second time by five wickets. The first matbh with Opoho was won hy the Dunedin by 53 runs, and the second one we lost by 4 runs, but had time allowed we must .hpve won, as we had five wickets in hand. In the first match with tho Grange we were beaten by 10 wickets, but in the return match we had our revenge, , as w'e'beat them by 122 runs on the first innings. The Albion-we only met once, and succeeded in beating them by 15 runs after a very exciting game. A. Clarke heads the batting average with 27.6 for 15 innings, ■ and was one of the few to compile a century.dur. ing the season, scoring. 121 against Qarisbrobk B. A. Geddes comes noxt with an average,of 24.4, and played dne^ of the best innings of the season, scoring 135 not out against the Grange. La'tham heads the bowling average with '7.5, and, considering the number of balls he'bowled—ll2B,—this is an exceedingly fine, performance. -R-. Wilkie is a good second with 7.78. The No. 1 Juniors did not come up to. expectations, but .they Bave some; of the best.teams agreat battle.. Out of .14 matches, '- they ,wou 6. The. batting is headed by W. Pieiden with 13.71, and W. Maclean heads tho bottling .with 9.15. "'The No. 2 Juniors proved, the-surp'rise of the s.lisou, as they finished up ' the winners "of -the" Junior Championship, winning 12 matches,' losing 2, and 1 resulted, in a- tie. The batting average i 6 headed by J. Wilkio with 27.7, and the bowling is headed by J. Wilkie with 6!6, and'G. Murchic is nextwith 8.1. The No. 1 Third-class went through tlio season with an unbeaten, record,; winning 16 matches but of 16. H. Sincock heads the batting with 17, and the bowding is beaded by A. Briggs with 64 wickets at a cost, of 3.21 runs a wicket, a Very fine performance. "-The No. 2 Third-class are runncrs-up for the Thirdclass Championship, and as this team.consists of some very young nlayers this is a very fin. performance. T. Hamann heads the, baiting average with 11.25, and J. Stalker the bowling' with 3.48. . The following toasts wero honoured :—..<- he New Zealand Cricket Council and Otago Cricket Association," " No. 2 Juniors and No. ' 1 Third-class, Winners of the Shields, The Seniors," "Umpires," "Kindred Sports, " Dunedin Cricket Club,""The Absent Ones, "The Ladies," "The President and Vice-, presidents,"'"The Visitors," and "Host-and Hostess." Songs and recitations were rendered during the evening by Messrs G. Stephenson, A.' Alexander, W. Maclean, A. Maclean, M'Kay, F. C. Ligginsi W. H. Mackenzie, R. Brown, H. Sincock, A. Hume, and J. Croxford. Mr F. C. Liggins officiated.at the piano in a very able manner, and a, very enjoyable evening was brought to a close at II o'clock by the'singiug of " Auld Lang Syne.
