PRIZE' TALE COMPETITION,

The Proprietors of the O.tago Daily Times and Witness beg to announce that a Prize Tale Competition on the same ljnes as that of last year will be held in connection with their Christmas Annual, to bo published at the end of the current year. -The Tales will again be profusely illustrated, a fact which necessitates the MS. being in our hands somewhat earlier than would otherwise be necessary. The illustrating will be placed in competent hands, and aa the whole issue will, be printed on super-calendar paper, this feature of the Christmas Anuual may again be looked forward to as one of- special, interest. Ten prizes will be awarded, ranging from £5 to 10s, and totalling £27 10s. '

' THE PRIZE TALE COMPETITION will extend from . April 1 to Juno 30, and PHIZES TO THE VALUE:OP £27 10s will be offered as below:— : ■' First Prize .. ' ..
